Welcome to Mrs. Flowers' 4th Grade class! 

 Welcome to Mrs. Flowers Flashy Firebolts, 4th grade class! This year is going to be filled with reading, writing, science, social studies, math and FUN! I am so excited to meet you all! I look forward to getting to know you on Tuesday, August 7 at either the 11-1 or 4-6 time frame. Feel free to bring your supplies at that time.  School starts Thursday, August 9! Let's let the most magical year begin! Please feel free to contact me at anytime, via email allison.flowers@tvcs.org, or call. I will respond to you within 24 hours. 

If your child is going to be absent, I will be more than happy to get work together and put it in the office as long as you let me know by noon. You can contact me by email for this information. I am looking forward to being partners in your child's educational journey!

Some important dates to keep in mind:

 

 August 7- Orientation 11-1 or 4-6

August 9- First day of school

 

 Our class is collecting box tops.  Please send any you may have in with your child anytime. This is a great thing to ask grandparents to help with as well!

HELPFUL INFORMATION:

         In an effort to be better stewards of our resources parents will no longer be receiving AR TOPS reports.  To view your child's progress towards their goals you can visit the website listed below.  It is easy to get signed and ready to use this great service.  You will receive emails to your personal address when your child has tested.  It is a valuable tool to use in keeping in touch with your child's progress.  http://www.tvcs-ar.org/RenaissanceServer/HomeConnect/Login.aspx

     Parents, please make sure that your child is taking advantage of the ThinkCentral website.  This is a valuable tool to use for practice in both reading, math, and science.  Your child will be given a username and password for this website.  The information will be located in their binders.  www.thinkcentral.com.  Also, the McGraw-Hill website for Social Studies and Reading.  www.connected.mcgraw-hill.com. These are coming soon!

     Please make sure to check binders nightly for important information, weekly assignments, and tests.  Please make sure that your child is reading every night.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me, jot a note in the planner, or email me at anytime.
